What We Do
OUR MISSION
LEND A HAND
Keeping Families Covered provides diapers and other basic needs to families.
We also raise awareness about diaper need and period poverty, while working to build sustainable programs in Lake County.
Who We Help
We partner with social service agencies and nonprofit organizations in Lake County to provide assistance to families in need. Agencies submit requests to us on behalf of the clients they serve and we fill the requests. Orders are picked up at our office by the agency and they handle the distribution to the families.
Direct service is available to individuals/families outside of our typical agency partnerships. To qualify, individuals cannot be receiving help from other agencies and must complete the intake form below. Documentation is required for parents and children. If you need diapers for your children, please register for our mobile diaper pantry program. Click on the Mobile Diaper Pantry heading at the top of the page for more information and the online registration form.
How We Help
Keeping Families Covered offers new and gently-used items to families. Every item we receive is thoroughly inspected to meet our strict quality standards. We only accept and distribute items that are in GOOD CONDITION (free of holes, stains and damage) and SAFE. Items that we cannot use are recycled*.
We provide the following items, subject to availability:
Maternity Wear
Children’s Clothing and Shoes (Birth to Age 12)
Baby Gear
Disposable Diapers, Wipes and Period Supplies
Infant Formula
Children’s Books
There are always individuals in need. If you have other items not listed above, take a look at our partner agencies that accept donations that we cannot here.
