GET HELP WITH DIAPERS AND PERIOD SUPPLIES ON THE GO
Several times each month, our mobile diaper pantry visits 4 locations in Lake County to distribute free diapers and period supplies to families who are struggling to afford them. ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED 24 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST VISIT TO A DISTRIBUTION DAY and must be completed using the form below. Identification for the parent and child(ren) is required. Diapers are provided for children up to age 3. Pull-ups are provided for children up to age 4.

The safety of our volunteers and clients remains our highest priority. Due to COVID-19, we recognize that many families will need our help. Our mobile diaper pantry program will continue to run as scheduled, but we will be taking some extra precautions to protect ourselves and those we serve in the community.
The mobile diaper pantry has been shifted to a DRIVE-THRU model at our distribution sites so that clients can remain in their cars. ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED AND MUST BE COMPLETED 24 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST VISIT TO ANY DISTRIBUTION DAY. IF YOU ARE NOT ON OUR REGISTERED CLIENT LIST WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT A DISTRIBUTION, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE DIAPERS OR PERIOD SUPPLIES. Diapers are provided for children up to age 3. Pull-ups are provided for children up to age 4.
Please come to the distributions prepared with all required documentation for yourselves and your child(ren) or you will not receive diapers (see requirements below). We will be increasing our use of hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes at all distributions. Our volunteers will be wearing gloves, masks and practicing responsible social distancing. We ask for your full cooperation and support to help minimize the spread of the virus so that we can continue to serve you.
Please check here for distribution dates, time, locations and service changes/updates. We ask that you please refrain from calling our office because we are experiencing an unusually high volume of phone calls at this time.
We reserve the right to cancel any distribution date to ensure the safety of our volunteers and clients. We also reserve the right to limit the quantities of diapers, wipes and period supplies provided so that we can serve as many families as possible during this challenging time.**

REQUIREMENTS & IMPORTANT INFORMATION
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED AND MUST BE COMPLETED 24 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST VISIT TO ANY DISTRIBUTION DATE. If you are not on our registered client list when you arrive at a distribution, you will not receive diapers or period supplies. Diapers are provided for children up to age 3. Pull-ups are provided for children up to age 4.
Completed online registration form (ONE-TIME FORM)
Parent's photo ID (needed at every visit - driver's license, state ID, military ID, passport, VISA)
Child's birth certificate (needed at first visit and for any re-verification periods throughout the year)
Please note that due to the number of families we serve, we do not provide diapers to expectant mothers for unborn children. Once you deliver and have your child's birth certificate, you are welcome to register them for diapers.
ONCE YOU REGISTER, YOU WILL NOT BE CONTACTED BY US. YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION IF YOUR ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM WAS SUBMITTED SUCCESSFULLY. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO SHOW UP AT THE SCHEDULED DISTRIBUTION DAYS WITH THE REQUIRED ID FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR CHILD(REN).
This program is for individuals and/or families that are NOT receiving diapers or period supplies from any of our 30+ agency partners (or other sources). Distributions are tracked very closely for every client registered for the program. If we discover that you are receiving diapers and/or period supplies from our mobile pantry plus one of our partner agencies or any other community source, we reserve the right to stop providing any and all service to you.
Due to the number of families we serve and high demand for size 5 and size 6 diapers, we reserve the right to limit the quantity provided of those sizes at any time.
Wipes are offered when available.
Parents can come twice a month to get diapers, but not twice in the same week. There must be a minimum of 2 weeks between visits.
Diapers and period supplies are only distributed on the dates/times and at the locations listed above.

Other Ways to Get Assistance
Keeping Families Covered offers options to receive help from us.
Keeping Families Covered distributes items through established agencies that work directly with families in need. Those partnerships ensure that diapers and other essentials get into the hands of those who need them, our program compliments other services (home visits, case management, health screenings, self-sufficiency programs, job training) and providing families with basic needs will help to connect them with other assistance programs in the community.
Agency partners request items on behalf of the clients they serve and we fill the requests. Case workers and/or agency representatives pick up their orders at our Waukegan office and then handle the distribution to the families.
We are very intentional with how we grow and who we partner with to distribute our items. Our partners include home visiting programs, shelters, food pantries, townships, healthcare clinics and community based organizations. An agency must have a partnership agreement with us in order to request assistance for their clients. Our partnership agreement is collaborative and requires each agency to support the mission, and programs, of Keeping Families Covered, throughout each calendar year.

Direct to Client Service
Families who are not receiving assistance from any of our agency partners or other organizations may apply for direct service by completing the intake form below. Identification is required for the parent and child(ren).
This program is for gently used children's clothing/shoes (newborn to size 12), maternity wear and baby care equipment. If you are pregnant, we can assist you with maternity wear. Per our policy, we do not provide items for unborn children. If you are in need of diapers, please register for our mobile diaper pantry program. Our goal is to meet a family's immediate needs and connect them with additional resources in the community, including our agency partners. Items can be requested every 2 months. Clients are expected to work towards self-sufficiency.
Once we receive the completed intake form below, the client will be contacted within 3 business days to schedule an appointment at our office.
